For the past 26 years DuPage PADS has been providing hope for men, women and children who are homeless. Moving beyond providing shelter and meals, the not-for-profit agency has evolved to providing an array of services which seek to stop the cycle of homelessness in DuPage County.

In my previous article related to the mission of DuPage PADS, I made mention of a documentary photography, video and audio multi media project which highlights the stages from being homeless to being in a permanent housing facility. I have been working on this project since June of 2011 and am excited to report that it has reached its final stages before completion. The video will be presented during the DuPage PADS 6th Annual Taste of Hope fundraising event as a supportive visual vehicle to spread the important message of DuPage PADS’ mission.
For more information on the agency’s remarkable activities, please click here for a downloadable PDF brochure.
The following is a brief multimedia show and sneak preview that features some of the photographs taken during the past 7 months of working on this project, which I might say has been a very gratifying experience for me personally. Stay tuned for more to come soon.
In conjunction with the mission of DuPage PADS, I was recently recruited and invited by the BonZai Board team to participate in the Drive for 55, a 6-Hour Karting Enduro to be held on February 26, 2012 at Chicago Indoor Racing. During the event 15 teams will race competitively with the goal to raise $55,000 + in support of DuPage PADS mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. Please support the event and our teams’ mission. Thank You! And remember: Think globally, act locally.
